Sliding vs Hinged Wardrobe: Which Is Right for Your Bedroom?

Both styles can look great. The right choice depends on your room size, budget and how you like to access your clothes.
Sliding wardrobes save space
Sliding shutters need no swing clearance, which makes them ideal for small bedrooms where the bed sits close to the wardrobe.
Hinged wardrobes offer full access
Hinged doors open the entire wardrobe at once and usually cost less. They also allow mirrors and organisers on the inside of shutters.
Our recommendation
If you have less than 3 feet between bed and wardrobe, choose sliding. Otherwise, hinged gives more flexibility for the price.
